The members of the Sons and Riders are invited to attend our meetings as well. This month’s Post agenda includes the following (not necessarily in this order): \n\nProgram: Midlothian K-9 Unit\nReview of Post and Riders ByLaws\nDiscussion of July 4th Event\nNew Web Site Launch Review\nOther Business\n\nWe will also have a photographer to get pictures of all our officers for the Post\, Sons\, ALR\, and ALA for the website. We can also take group pictures of Post\, ALA\, ALR and Sons for those parts of our web site. If you are a member but not an officer\, you are also welcome to get you picture taken as well if you would like to be added to our soon to be released members pages (if we get enough participation and you agree to be added).

DESCRIPTION:The American Legion Post 388 Family and our Scouts will be leading the 4th of July Parade in Midlothian starting at 10:00am. After the parade\, come join us at the Civic Center for fun & games\, a silent auction\, food & refreshments. \nEnjoy OVER 35 Midlothian Class Cars from 11 to 2\, enter the Cornhole tournament\, and have a hamburger or hotdog. Our soccer fields will also be open for general recreation. So come out\, play catch or kick around a few soccer balls (bring your own gear). Enjoy an All-American\, Mom & Apple Pie kind of day. \nOur silent auction closes at 4:00 pm\, and\, if you are the winning bidder\, you can claim your prize at the Civic Center shortly after the auction closes. If you cannot be present\, we will call you to arrange a pickup time. \nWe will also be selling raffle tickets all day for a chance to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. DESCRIPTION:Join the American Legion\, Auxiliary\, and local Scouts to document as many Veterans’ histories as possible in one day! Scouts will interview Veterans in conjunction with the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project. All interviews will be submitted to the Library of Congress as well as available at the museum at the new Veterans Center coming to Ellis County. More details to come. \nWe will schedule approximate times for Veteran interviews or just come enjoy the day with fellow Veterans and their families while you wait for your interview time. Check back later for details on how to sign up to participate. \nAs an added bonus\, we scheduled our event to coincide with the monthly Lord’s Wranglers event. They meet the 2nd Saturday of each month from March – December in the CCEC Arena. The focus of The Lord’s Wranglers is to introduce and grow children and their parents in the Lord\, through teaching them the basic skills of horsemanship. \nLunch and refreshments will be provided.
